What we collect
If you subscribe to the newsletter, we collect your email address and the time you signed up. That's it. Browsing the site does not require an account, and we do not sell or share personal data.
Why we collect it
Your email address is used for one purpose: sending you the newsletter you asked for. Aggregate, non-identifying analytics may be used to understand which finds and pages people enjoy, so the site gets better.
Where it's stored
Newsletter addresses are stored with our email delivery provider, not on this site. The provider's name will be listed here once the newsletter launches. The site itself is hosted on Cloudflare, which may process standard server logs (such as IP addresses) to serve and secure the site.
Analytics
The site uses PostHog in a privacy-respecting configuration to count page views: no autocapture, no session recording, no surveys, and it honors your browser's Do Not Track setting. Visitors are not personally identified. We use these counts only to understand which finds people enjoy.
Affiliate links
Some outbound shop links are affiliate links. When you click one, the merchant or affiliate network (for example, Amazon) may set cookies and attribute your purchase under their own privacy policies. See our disclosure page for how recommendations work.
Unsubscribing and removal
Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link that works immediately. To have your data removed entirely, or to ask anything about this policy, email hello@onecoolthings.com.
